Well, I can’t be in Paris on Bastille, but I just read about a celebratory drink called a Serendipity, created by Colin Peter Field of the Hemingway Bar at the Ritz Paris. Maybe a bit of “France in a Glass.”

Celebrate Bastille Day with a Serendipity cocktail.

Here’s the recipe:

1 stem of fresh mint
1 teaspoon of white sugar
1 oz. Calvados, a young one
2 oz. clear apple juice
Add ice
Fill to the top with Champagne

Serve in a tumbler.

FYI:
The Serendipity will also be featured by Colin Field at the Tales of the Cocktail festival in New Orleans, 17th – 21st
